Laser Eyelid Skin Tightening

Laser Eyelid Skin Tightening
Treatment Highlights

  • Targets Loose Eyelid Skin – Helps improve the appearance of mild skin laxity and fine lines around the eyes.
  • Collagen Remodelling – Controlled laser energy promotes skin renewal and may improve firmness and texture.
  • Non-Surgical Approach – A laser-based option for selected patients seeking improvement in eyelid skin without conventional surgery.

CO₂ laser eyelid tightening uses controlled ablative laser energy to resurface the delicate skin around the eyes and stimulate collagen remodelling. The treatment may improve the appearance of fine lines, crepey texture and mild skin laxity in appropriately selected patients.

At Medaesthetics, we assess your eyelid skin, degree of laxity and treatment goals before recommending a suitable approach. Treatment suitability, expected results and recovery vary between individuals. CO₂ laser treatment is not a substitute for surgical blepharoplasty when excess skin or significant eyelid laxity or under eye bags requires surgical correction.

Treatment Discomfort:

Treatment area is fully numbed using extra-strength numbing cream and local anaesthetic injection to minimise any treatment discomfort

Longevity:

Around 2–5 years; varies individually

Location:

Available at all MedAesthetics clinics.

Laser Eyelid Skin Tightening Treatment Cost

From $1600 (both eyes)

MOA

The CO₂ laser delivers controlled energy to the skin around the eyes, creating precise microscopic areas of tissue ablation and thermal stimulation. This promotes skin renewal and collagen remodelling, which may improve the appearance of fine lines, crepey texture and mild skin laxity over time. Treatment depth and intensity are adjusted according to the individual’s skin condition and clinical needs. Results develop gradually during healing and collagen remodelling, with recovery time depending on the treatment settings used.

Laser Eyelid Skin Tightening Treatment Summary

Most patients need one treatment session. Individual treatment recommendations vary and are confirmed at your consultation.

An appointment takes about 30 minutes in total, with the laser treatment itself typically taking under about 5 minutes once the skin is numb.

Discomfort varies between patients. The skin is numbed with a topical anaesthetic cream and a local anaesthetic injection beforehand, and additional comfort measures may be used.

Recovery typically takes 7–14 days, depending on the intensity of treatment and individual healing response. During the healing phase, temporary oozing, crusting and scab formation may occur in the treated area, alongside redness and swelling. The skin gradually heals as new tissue forms, although residual redness may persist beyond the initial recovery period.

Following the recommended wound care instructions and protecting the treated area from sun exposure are important for healing. We provide personalised aftercare guidance to support recovery.

Results are generally seen once the skin has healed, developing over the following weeks as the skin firms and smooths; results and suitability vary between individuals.

Results typically last in the order of 2–5 years, varying between individuals depending on age, skin type and lifestyle, and repeat or maintenance treatment may be needed over time.

Most light activities can usually be resumed soon afterwards, while strenuous exercise should be avoided for a few days.

Protect the treated skin from harsh chemicals, direct sun and chlorinated water while it heals and avoid strenuous exercise for a few days. We will provide the full aftercare guidance at the time of your treatment.

CO₂ laser eyelid tightening involves controlled skin injury and requires careful treatment around the delicate eye area. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, pinpoint bleeding, crusting and skin sensitivity are common during recovery.

Potential complications include prolonged redness, infection, delayed healing and  changes in skin pigmentation . Excessive treatment, poor compliance with post treatment instructions and care or individual healing factors may increase these risks.

This is a laser treatment on some of the most delicate skin on the face, so the operator’s training on the device — and their judgement about your skin — is central to a safe result. Worth asking:

  • Whether the person performing it is trained on this specific CO2 laser and can set the energy appropriately for eyelid skin and your skin type, which affects the risk of prolonged redness or a change in pigment
  • Whether your skin type and the area are properly assessed beforehand, and whether they are honest that some people — for instance those with bulging lower-eyelid fat pads — are not suitable
  • Whether they give a realistic picture of downtime (generally 7–14 days) and the fact that most people need a single session
  • Their qualifications and registration, and whether the risks near the eye and the aftercare are clearly explained before you commit.

At Medaesthetics, CO₂ laser eyelid tightening is approached with careful clinical assessment, precise treatment planning and a focus on patient safety. All treatments are performed either by Dr Jadoon or under his strict supervision.
