MOA

This is a minor in-clinic procedure performed under local anaesthetic. Dr Jadoon removes the stretched, torn or redundant earlobe tissue and closes the earlobe with fine sutures, with the aim of helping restore a more natural earlobe shape.

Earlobe Repair Treatment Summary

This is generally a single in-clinic procedure; one or both earlobes can be treated, as assessed at your consultation.

The procedure usually takes about 60–120 minutes.

The earlobe is fully numbed with local anaesthetic before the procedure.

Initial healing usually takes roughly 10–14 days.

The procedure aims to close the unwanted hole and/or help restore a more natural earlobe shape.

The repair is intended to be long-lasting/ permanent.

Light activities are generally fine after about 24 hours. Gym or strenuous activity should be avoided for a minimum of about 3 weeks.

Your earlobe will need some time to heal following the procedure. We’ll provide you with clear, personalised aftercare instructions to help support healing.

  • Keep the area clean and dry as advised by your practitioner.
  • Avoid touching, pulling or putting pressure on the repaired earlobe.
  • Avoid earrings and heavy jewellery during the healing phase.
  • Follow any wound-care instructions provided and attend your recommended follow-up appointment.
  • Mild swelling, tenderness or bruising can occur during the early healing period and usually settles as the earlobe heals.

If you notice increasing pain, redness, swelling, discharge or any other unexpected changes, contact Medaesthetics for advice.
