Laser Capillaries, Redness & Spider Veins Removal

Treatment Highlights

  • Advanced Medical-Grade Laser and Light Platforms – Medaesthetics offers advanced laser and light-based technologies selected to address a range of vascular skin concerns.
  • Treatment for Various Vascular Conditions – Depending on the condition, treatment may target broken capillaries, facial telangiectasia, spider veins and cherry angiomas.
  • Individualised Clinical Assessment – Treatment selection and settings are tailored to the type, location and extent of the vascular concern, as well as your skin type and clinical suitability.

Visible blood vessels, facial redness and small vascular lesions can occur on different areas of the face and body. Common concerns include broken capillaries around the nose and cheeks, facial telangiectasia, spider veins and cherry angiomas.

At Medaesthetics, we offer advanced medical-grade laser and light-based platforms to assess and treat selected vascular conditions. Different technologies target blood vessels in different ways, allowing treatment to be selected according to the nature, depth and location of the concern.

Not every vascular lesion responds to the same technology. A clinical consultation helps determine the most appropriate treatment option, discuss expected outcomes and identify potential risks. Results vary depending on the condition being treated, the technology used and individual response.

MOA

Laser and light-based treatments deliver targeted energy that is absorbed by haemoglobin within blood vessels. The resulting heat causes controlled thermal effects within the targeted vessels, allowing the body to gradually break them down or reabsorb them.

Different technologies and wavelengths are selected according to the size, depth and location of the vessels, as well as the skin type and vascular condition being treated. Multiple sessions may be required, and the degree of improvement varies between individuals.

Treatment Summary

The number of sessions required depends on the type, size, depth and extent of the blood vessels being treated. Some concerns may improve after a single session, while others may require a course of treatments spaced several weeks apart.

Individual appointments commonly take around 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the area treated.

Sensation varies between patients — most describe a brief warmth or a light snapping feeling as each pulse is delivered. Cooling and other comfort measures may be used, and pain management is discussed at your consultation.

Temporary redness, warmth or mild swelling is common afterwards, and treated vessels may darken before fading. Downtime vary between individuals.

Some vessels may disappear immediately after treatment, while others gradually fade over the following weeks. Larger or deeper vessels may require additional treatment sessions to achieve further improvement.

Results vary depending on the type, size and depth of the vessels, the technology used and individual response. Complete clearance cannot be guaranteed, and new vessels may develop over time.

Vessels that clear generally do not return, but new capillaries and veins can appear over time with factors such as sun exposure and natural ageing, so occasional maintenance sessions may be needed.

Most people can resume normal daily activities immediately after treatment. Temporary redness, mild swelling or sensitivity may occur. Strenuous exercise, excessive heat and direct sun exposure may need to be avoided for 24–48 hours, depending on the treatment performed and your clinician’s advice.

Keep the treated area cool and avoid excessive heat, strenuous exercise and irritating skincare products for 24–48 hours, as advised. Protect the skin from sun exposure. Follow your clinician’s instructions and contact the clinic if you experience unexpected or worsening symptoms.
